When we met this jewel, the owner did not remember the exact name of the green marble on the facade. He confessed it almost as an apology, not knowing that he had just given us the best cover letter of the house: here the decisions were made by how each material looked and felt, not by what it put in the catalog or fit into the budget. The facade combines that unnamed green with travertine marble, and from the outside it warns that there are no shortcuts inside.

A double wall of 14 with an air chamber of 10 cm of insulation does the job that no one sees: that the heat of August and the cold of January stay in the street before the air conditioning or its floor radiates, they have to work hard. Inside, the materials change from room to room without losing coherence. White Turkish marble and porcelain porcelain on the floor; oak, glass and stainless steel braided on the staircase; solid walnut doors that give way, where appropriate, to Rimadesio bronze glass.

The ceiling, folded in plasterboard, hides the lighting with the same discretion with which the underfloor heating works, present throughout the house, floor by floor, without exception. The Binova kitchen in wenge and stainless steel is not looking for the photo: it seeks to withstand years of real use. Two Mitsubishi Electric teams, one per plant, quietly manage the weather. And then comes the chapter that few chalets in Cartagena can write: cinema, disco, spa, gym and its own pub with its own Mitsubishi Electric split.
